The crop factor digital SLR and lens multiplication factor has the effect of cutting the edges of an image and the extension of the downtown area. The result is similar to a telephoto lens or a tele-converter.
The cutting effect occurs because the sensor is on most digital SLR cameras smaller than a 35mm slide or negative. A "frame" 35 mm film is 36 x 24 mm in size, while the sensor Canon Digital Rebel (300D to 500D) and EOS D-series ** (20D to 50D and 7D) isonly 22.5 x 15mm in size. A smaller sensor means for obtaining the image part of the picture are cut off.
Consider this: just look at a presentation on a screen big enough to display the image at full size, then someone replaced the screen with one that is less space for. Now, some of the projected images (top, bottom and sides), "overflow" smaller screen, so what you see now is a cropped version of the image.
You get a similar result when using a digitalSLR camera with a sensor that is smaller than a sheet of 35 mm film - the image through the lens of "overflow" throw the switch. Each space is cut away around the subject, the subject fills the frame more now - but if there is no free space, part of what has been cut off.
This cropping or magnification is an advantage when using a telephoto lens, the result is similar to using a telephoto converter x 1.6.
But for someone to shoot wide angle, theOpposite is the case. Now, super-wide is estimated to create dramatic landscapes and tight indoor shots in semi-useless. A true wide-angle lens like a Canon EF 24 mm is "renewed" by 1.6 times, giving a focal length equivalent of 38.4 mm of your Rebel XSi or 50D.
Fortunately, Canon and others recognized manufacturer of digital SLR lenses they had, the crop factor for photographers to produce than with wide angle lenses.
The result is a series ofLenses designed specifically for digital SLRs with sensors smaller than 35mm (often known as an APS-C size). While the crop factor, even if these objectives, the lenses themselves are "shorter", both physically and focal length, as the appropriate lens for a 35mm camera.
So the goal is the kit Rebels Canon EF-S 18-55mm. This would be classified as "Ultra-Wide" (wide end) for a 35 mm camera, but corresponds to a rather mundane 28.8-88mm - orStandard zoom lens - when used with a 50D or Rebel XSi.
While Canon Rebel and EOS digital SLR cameras ** D as an entry-level or "prosumer" cameras are divided into categories, are treated by professionals, suitable, especially wedding photographers, who have not previously been available through the wide-angle lenses, in particular for using terms of image quality and focal length.
To avoid this, put two Canon lenses that are standouts in its range of EF-S for use on Rebel** D and EOS cameras:
* Canon EF-S 17-55mm f/2.8 IS USM
* Canon EF-S 10-22mm f/3.5-5.6 USM
The EF-S 17-55mm is known for its constant f/2.8 aperture throughout the zoom range, along with image stabilization that makes it especially effective for shooting in low light conditions without flash. It is evaluated by wedding photographers, and also as a portrait and walkaround lens.
Users, such as lenses for its sharp images in all focal lengths, autofocus speed, and versatilityExcellence in low light conditions. Their main task is not like the prices (the most expensive EF-S), weather sealing, and the size and weight.
Still receives a score of 91% of users and is regarded as an objective of higher quality cameras APS-C is recommended.
The EF-S 10-22mm is significant because it is the only true ultra wide angle Canon EOS Rebel and ** D structures. Mount this lens on Canon 40D and is equivalent to a 16-35mm on a 35mm or full frame body,photographers creative opportunities not otherwise possible, with APS-C format cameras.
Users as the target for sharpness, great color, fast autofocus and minimal distortion. They like the price, the plastic construction, and the absence of a designated cap.
But the picture quality is good, compared to the L-series lens from Canon and users give a rating of 90% recommend it as essential for all those genuine wide-angle capabilities of one or EOS Rebel D **Body.
Users of rebel Canon EOS SLR D ** or not the fault of the kit lenses for less than stellar image quaility - alternatives are available (albeit at a price.)
